A proud Grandpa and a mighty handsome one I must add.

Well Phil and I are grandparents to a beautiful granddaughter. She is adorable and getting sweeter by the day and minute actually. I am so thrilled she has arrived. God is sooo good. Thanks for all who prayed and thought of us during this momentous time. I know I am not the best blogger but I do the best I can for the time and experience that I have with this. Phil has already emailed the most of you about how and when this little one arrived so I won't bore you with the details. We are on into the Christmas season, and the only thing I pray for is for family to be together immediate and others.
Well I think I will try adding a few pics.
God's gift to us this Christmas is Little 'Sienna Elizabeth'.

Since everyone is sharing pictures of our lovely Elizabeth I thought I would post one too. Anytime now with the precious wee grandbaby. Isn't life exciting!!

Here is the lovely aunt to be, she is upset with me for posting her beautiful picture, I know she will be furious with me now, but what can I say, I can't help myself. She takes after me with the looks she can give people and they get the message clearly, (just ask her brother Philip) even though underneath we are very sweet and sensitive.

Well Hopefully all will be well. After all Rain does bring life, and make a bright day even better after it. If all the days were sunny it would be a mighty dry world. Um I think I better stop while I am still not too far behind.
God Bless!!

I know I will probably be in trouble from Naomi about posting this picture but I just love it. She looks soooooo cute!! What are your views on it.
I just have to throw out a question for whoever reads this blog. Naomi thinks that I am too much of a worrier about our eldest daughter and her husband having a little one. She thinks I shouldn't be worrying about Elizabeth going through childbirth because so many women go through it. But.....me being a mother and knowing what someone goes through in this process of labour, I am very concerned about Elizabeth going through all the hard part. I mean the pain part. I know that the end result just majorly overshadows anything else but ....... this is still my child and I have always tried to protect her from any pain etc. Surely I am not being overly concerned. Wouldn't you be this way if it was your daughter???Remember to pray for a safe delivery for this precious little one we are about to meet. Elizabeth just found out he wants to come bum first, (breech) she is a little nervous about the epideral and the ceasarian. I am soooo thankful God has known this little one and Elizabeth before they were even in their wombs. So again I leave it in God's wonderful hands, and remind Him of that again and again. It is my funny way of trusting.
Well I gfuess it is time to do some updating. I have avoided it long enough. I was soooooooo disappointed about Philip not being to come to his Bday party that it has taken me some time to get past that. Here we are we did have fun but there seemed to be such an empty spot in the weekend. We played a "Cowley overkill " game of 'Deal or NO Deal' As you can tell by Phil.

This is a gorgeous picture of Naomi with her newest venture. The guitar. Not only did she get one but Phil got one too. I have immensely enjoyed his strumming. I will have to post a picture of him too.

Phil is enjoying his capture of the remote while the kids went out for a bit at Rebekah and Gavin's place. It was sure roomier and a lot more comfortable being at their place this time. They are happily settling in and I wished I would have gotten some pics of Gav's office, and the church. If you ever want a great recipe for Ribs just ask Rebekah. Hopefully we will have Philip's celebration at Christmas time. Thanks for having us all over Rebakah and Gavin. It was fun. I loved the little shops we visited I keep thinking about a couple of the items in that one shop it was so cute!!

Well from the french maid "Fifi" and the "butler" hope you enjoyed some of our fun at our household. It does get crazy at times but that is all great too. Look forward to updating you in our exciting venture of life. Until next TATA
Here is some of the great cuisuine and some of the crew that joined us. It was fun!!

Well here are a couple of more pics from the great party. Here is "Devil Woman" or is it the lady from 'The Devil wears Prada' and a Brazilian Goddess. The blonde is our international homestay student.Camilla. She is quite the little lady to say the least but we are enjoying her as she experiences Canada here on the Island with us.
This is 'Ursula' She joined us on Thanksgiving via Victoria, she has been in the upstairs shower, the closet, and varios other places she is just getting to know her way around the place although soon she will get to know the storage room. Sorry Brian.
Here is our precious little fairy princess. The life and hostess of the party. I will post some more because I tried to do more photos but it only did three of them at a time.

Sorry about the absurd post of Nov. 1st. The stupid pictures would not download or whatever they do for the life of me. I don't know how many times I tried. Needless to say Camill and Naomi are away so I now have a chance at our computer. the first pumpkin is Phil's and the other one is mine. I think they look not bad. This other picture is the laundry ghost at our home he only show up at this time of year.

I am going to add more pictures my usual way in bits and pieces.

Well just a regular week at out place. Only had to make one trip to ER. That was with our homestay. I think she's enjoying Canada. She's had the greatest experiences since she came. Her Thanksgiving consisted of the wonderful 'BC Flu" for 1 1/2 weeks. This time to emergency was from Basketball. She dislocated her baby finger. It went completely sideways, she pushed it back into place. It is very pretty colors now.Yesterday she had a better experience of the city of Vancouver. She had some great photos. Hopefully the next few months here will be better. At Christmas she might be able to experience a wonderful Turkey Dinner.
Phil is busy nursing his knee and probably going to be dealing with surgery on it in the future, as whenever he can get in. In between he is playing hockey. Ouch!!
Naomi is working two jobs one caring for an elderly couple, cooking and cleaning(no it is not for Phil and I) and the other is at the local bakery. She brings home some great left overs from the day. Lots of the prize winning cinnamon buns. MMMMMMMM.She is also busy with her music, leading the youth band at the church, and involved with the worship music. I love listening to her. I can't believe graduation is just around the corner for her.
Myself I am enjoying home, just doing the regular with two teens and a husband. Waiting as patiently as I can to become a grandmother. It is such an exciting time. I hold a Bible study for Women on Wednesday evenings. I am trying to continue my quilting and handwork in between times, and still reading lots of books. I am feeling great. The Lord is soooo good! Well I am off to the sauna. Infrared heat is very soothing. I was going to give it up but I love the relaxed feel and the way it cleanses, and heats my muscles etc.
I am starting to ramble so talk to you all soon. Next time I'll post some pictures.

This is some more views from our place and area. Hope you enjoy these. I sure did today.

These are all for little Jamal or Eyleah.
Well another post by bits and peices.I only know how to do it this way. So bear with me as I am learning. I couldn't resist the view from our deck today as the sun shone. I will bring a couple of more pictures as the colours on the trees are changing. What a beautiful time of year!!
Everyone is back at the school week. Camilla our exchange student found out about our wonderful flu viruses here in Canada and spent Thanksgiving weekend ill, very ill, and all this last week feverish and weak. Today she is back to the land of the living and out with her school chums to Tim Horton's to overdose on raspberry filled doughnuts. Not one or two but up to four at a time.
We are enjoying her and are so glad she has recouped.
Naomi is working her way thru this last year of school at the little bakery down town. Phil is into hockey I plan to post some pictures of him in action soon. We watched last night as his team won 11 to 2. Incredible.
I am at home enjoying the scenery and working on ......
Yes you guessed it baby quilts, lots of them. Here are two recent ones.

homefiresburning [BLOGGER PREVIEW]
Well this is a first for me. I can ramble on and on about my little mundane life and all its wonderful goings on. Fortunately I have a interesting and exciting husband and family to spice the whole thing up. This really is exciting because I have nothing else to do and so now I have something to do besides watch soaps, eat chocolates, chips and chip dip, drink bubbley and all the usual things I do. Today I am doing my unusual things like laundry, dishes, cleaning the bathroom, planning meals, taking care of a sick girl, you know those unusual days. (cough cough just clearing my throat)
We did have a great Thanksgiving , we certainly missed our son being homebut he was in our minds and hearts.
The girls and their men were home. Our precious little grandchild is growing. God is soooooo good!!
We are still figuring out how to do this blogging. It is kind of fun but a bit frustrating at first. Especially when we had more pictures to post and they wouldn't show up even after it said they had been posted. Where are they now? Maybe someone has some new family members on their post at least they are all good looking.
Anyways I am just rambling again and I want to see how this thing works.

Hi Everybody,

Okay Ruth thought it would be cool to have a blog site so here it is. It is Monday, Oct. 9, Thanksgiving Day and we are waiting for Brian and Beth to arrive from Victoria. I made a pancake, ham, and eggs brunch for everybody. This morning Becky and Gavin went and played tennis with G. Nettleton and Corinna. I think they want to play some more this afternoon. It is a beautiful sunny day and we really do have a lot to be thankful for. We are especially grateful to God for healing Ruth recently as she has been off of painkillers completely now for a few weeks. We are looking forward to our first grandchild at the beginning of December and are thankful that Elizabeth is healthy. We miss Philip not being home for Thanksgiving this year but are thankful that he is healthy and has a good job in Kelowna. We will be having a big turkey dinner today at about 5 o'clock and then picking names for buying Christmas gifts. If anyone bothers to read this we hope you have a great Thanksgiving. Phil and Ruth
